On 24th April, our Year 7 finalists of the Poetry by Heart competition were invited to the Hall where they received their certificates and the winner was announced.
After individual performances, students recited their poems in groups.
As well as memorising poems, the finalists all performed their poems with clarity and expression.
They ended the day, and the week, with a choral recital of the Lord's Prayer, which was shared with the whole school.
Well done to you all, you worked really hard and it was wonderful to hear your poems come to life!
