Megan Secures a Place at Steven Gerrard Academy
We are thrilled to share that Megan, who left Balshaw’s in June 2025, is following her passion and has secured a place at the Steven Gerrard Academy, on their Sports Media course.
Leyland Remembrance Parade 2025
Some of our senior prefects took part in the Leyland Remembrance parade on Sunday 9th November.

MFL Languages Week and Macmillan Bake Sale
During the week 22nd to 26th September 2025, our MFL Department held their annual Languages Week, that also celebrated the European Day of Languages.
Anais Selected to Play for Lancashire!
Our very own Anais, in Year 9, has successfully been selected for the Lancashire football team and played her first game on Saturday 11th October in Birmingham VS Warwickshire.
World Mental Health Day - 2025
We supported World Mental Health Day with a number of events and activities.
Inter-house Cross Country - October 2025
On Wednesday 1st October, the whole school came together for our wonderful inter-house cross country event.
Another Success for Balshaw's Golfers!
Congratulations to Sam and Jack W, together with Abi T, were part of the Leyland Juniors Team who recently won the Northern Juniors Golf Association League.

Finley Secures a Place!
In August 2025, we heard that Finley, in Year 11, was awaiting the decision about a place in the Great Britain Cycling Team Development Squad.
Finley Continues to Excel at BMX!
Superstar Finley, in Year 11, is amazingly dedicated to his chosen sport of BMX.
