Our wonderful Lenten Charity Fundraising week took place from Monday 23rd March to Friday 27th March.

Every year during Lent we raise money for charities in school suggested by our students via their House Tutors.

At Balshaw's we believe that there is something noble and decent about doing something to help others, often less fortunate than ourselves and we want to give something back to our Community because we get so much.

There were many varied activities and events again this year for students and staff to take part in including, lucky dips, treasure hunt, completing tasks and jobs at home and filling empty sweet tubes with money raised, sharing a kind message, murder mystery competition, raffles & tombolas, 'guess the number of sweets', Easter egg pong, darts competition, balance a £1 coin on a lemon, beat the mind reading teacher, sweet and cake sales, penalty shootout and crossbar challenge, wear your trainers to school and more!

We are also looking forward to our Staff Charity Football Match on Tuesday 21st April after school, which was postponed from March due to the inclement weather!

So far, our amazing total is £3503.33. We will share the final amount after the match this evening and details of the chosen charity.

Congratulations to the top fundraising tutor groups, as shown below:

  • CU10 £326

  • FN3 £323.55

  • WN10 £297.29

  • CL5 and CL6 £171.12

We would like to thank everyone for their organisation, support and generosity. We couldn’t do this without you!
