We are excited to welcome the Rt. Rev. Dr, Joe Kennedy, Bishop of Burnley into Balshaw's on Wednesday 4th February, where he will meet with both students and staff.

As we continue to develop our Christian Vision at every level of our school, various Curriculum Leaders will have the opportunity to discuss how our Christian Values and Ethos impact their subjects, and their teaching of our students.

Our Student Worship & Ethos Committee will also meet with Bishop Joe, as well as our Chaplain Luke Blakeley, as they reflect on our regular Acts of Collective Worship. They will be invited to share their views and impressions, and Bishop Joe will hopefully give insight into the purpose and importance of these Acts of Worship.

Finally, Bishop Joe will join a Year 10 RE Lesson led by our RE Curriculum Leader, Mrs Latimer, where he will share his journey of faith and answer questions put to him by the students.

We are grateful in advance for Bishop Joe finding the time to join us at Balshaw's for what we hope and expect will be a fruitful and encouraging visit.
