Balshaws Year 10 and 11 Athletics team have won the South Ribble Championships for the 2nd year in a row.

We had some fantastic individual performances with many of our students achieving 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in their events.

The boys team together accrued 118 points gaining first place above nearest rivals Hutton on 109 points. The girls, made up of mainly Year 10 students achieved 5th place on 75 points but the experience puts the team in a good position for next year.

Overall Balshaw's achieved 193 points with All Hallows in 2nd place on 192 points. The points carry forward to the U14s Athletics Championships on the 24th June so it is very close and we will need our U14s to perform to their absolute best to retain the overall Athletics Schools Athletics Cup we won last year.

Well done to all our U16 athletes for winning and putting us in a great position.
