Sophie's Superb Hockey Success

We were delighted to hear that Sophie R, in Year 7, has recently been selected to play for Lancashire U12 hockey squad. This is an amazing news and we are very proud of Sophie and everything that she has already achieved!

Here is what Sophie said about her exciting news:

I play hockey for Preston hockey club which I joined this season. I found out about the Lancashire U12’s trials before Christmas through my club so decided to try out.
 

I attended the trial and was selected to be in the Lancashire U12’s academy and I attended a number of training sessions. After these sessions they selected the team and I’m happy to say that I was selected for the U12 Lancashire squad and have represented the county at a number of tournaments in Cheshire, Lancashire and Manchester.
 

I love playing hockey and feel privileged at representing my county.
