Our girls’ football teams have been very busy representing school in the South Ribble 5-a-side indoor tournaments at All Hallow's recently.

On Monday 29th January, our Year 10 and 11 team finished 5th after winning some games, losing a couple and drawing 1. A fantastic achievement, in what was a very challenging competition, and our team had 1 less player in all games and no substitutes to fall back on!

Well done to Charlotte F, Rosie H, Laila D and Autumn W. Thank you to Mrs Leathard for taking the team to this event.

Following on from that, on Monday 5th February, our Year 7 team did an equally fantastically job! With a team of 8 players, they won their group to qualify for knockouts, beating All Hallows on penalties. They got to the final but narrowly missed winning by losing 2-1 to Leyland St Mary’s. It was an incredible achievement finishing in 2nd place in their first indoor football tournament!

Well done to Izzy L, Sophie R, Amelia F, Martha W, Martha D, Francesca H, Poppy O and Caitlin C (photographed).

Thank you to Mrs Jackson for taking the team to this event and for coaching them to achieve a 2nd place finish!

Finally, our Year 8 and 9 team played on Tuesday 6th February. They were unfortunate to finish in 3rd place in the league, with only a 2-point deficit, meaning that they didn't qualify for the semi-finals. However, they dominated each game, losing one game 1-0 against a team who only had 1 shot on target compared to our 8 shots!

Well done to Jess A, Eve C, Kate A, Erin B, Imogen C and Skye W (photographed).
