14 September – 7 October 2021

Our Open Evening is FULLY BOOKED.

Our Virtual Open Evening is live and can be viewed HERE.

Balshaw's Church of England High School is delighted you are considering our wonderful school as a place for your child to develop and grow as a responsible young person able to reflect Christ’s love within our wider community whether they are of faith or no faith.

Our Open Evening will be very different to normal as we wish to keep our school family and our visitors on the evening as safe as possible.

Please note: YOU MUST HAVE TICKETS for this event.

• All visitors must wear a face mask during their visit

• There will be no presentations with large groups of people in one area - talks, including the Headteacher's presentation, are on our Virtual Open Evening webpage

• Your timed guided tour will follow a fixed route to avoid congestion and to keep visitors reasonably socially distanced

• There will sadly be no interactive activities for our Year 6 visitors, only demonstrations in the rooms you pass

The Open Evening will provide you with opportunity to take an accompanied set tour around the school building to get a sense of the school and its facilities with either a member of staff or one of our fantastic students. Consequently many details about the school, including the Headteacher's presentation, can be viewed online on our Virtual Open Evening webpage.

Each tour will last around 30 minutes and you will be able to ask questions of your guide about any aspects of the school that you want to know more about having explored our Virtual Open Evening webpage. We will have colleagues from LCC Pupil Access at the event to ask questions about admission arrangements and senior staff will be available to speak to at the end of the tour.

Each group booking is limited to only one child who may be accompanied by one or both parents (i.e. a maximum group booking of 3).

Parking is very limited, so we ask that you either walk to Balshaw's from home, or that you park in the Tesco car park opposite St Andrew's Church and walk to the school. Please respect our neighbours by using one of these options.

We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday 7th October.
